Our AirfieldOld Sarum Airfield has good facilities making it welcoming for those accompanying a student pilot, as well as the trainee pilot themselves. It is one of the classic British airfields, with a history going back to the First World War - the hangar we occupy was built in 1917 and is Grade II* listed. There's usually plenty going on at Old Sarum, and there are few things that can beat sitting outside the cafe on a fine day watching what's happening at the airfield. Other activities at Old Sarum include fixed-wing training, microlights and parachuting.
We have a briefing area with PC and WiFi internet access for flight planning or just relaxing. There is a selection of excellent B&Bs in the area. For more information about Old Sarum airfield visit www.oldsarumairfield.co.uk

Our Aircraft
The Gyrocopter Experience Salisbury is delighted to announce that we have recently taken delivery of a brand new Magni M16C tandem 2-seat gyro. To describe the aircraft as "fantastic" would be a bit of an understatement - and it is proving to be a huge hit with our students. We are the first school in the UK to offer training on our own Magni gyroplane.
Not to be outdone, we also have our own MT-03 gyroplane available for training too. Our MT has starred in a number of magazine articles and reviews over the past few years and so is no shrinking violet. G-CDZZ has safely taken many students from their first gyro flight through to the coveted PPL(G).
The MT and the Magni are both great machines - one of the unique opportunities we offer at the Gyrocopter Experioence Salisbury is the ability to fly both aircraft and make your own decision as to which one you prefer.
If you have your own gyroplane from another manufacturer we can teach you to fly that too - as long as it is a UK approved factory-built machine.
Directions
The airfield is located just off the A345 Salisbury to Amesbury road. Our postcode is SP4 6DZ.
Turn off the A345 at the Portway roundabout. Drive along the portway until you reach the traffic lights - turn right here to take you on to the airfield. At the T-junction turn left, then follow the road along to the end and turn right. The car park is at the end of the road on the left hand side.

Salisbury
The airfield has a 780m grass runway and is CAA licenced. An air-to-ground radio service is provided so you can practice your radio skills as you learn to fly. If you wish to bring your own gyro to Old Sarum then we have hangarage, fuel and maintenance available.
